Rebuilding Lives in Nepal

We are helping vulnerable people to rebuild their lives after their families and homes were torn apart by the devastating earthquake last April.

Pema, (66) is a widow from Dhunche VDC. She will never forget 2015, the year the earthquake hit.

She lost her stepson and her house in the earthquake. Being alone she had to fend for herself, as there is no one to provide any financial or emotional support.

Pema’s age makes living in the temporary shelter difficult and started to take a toll on her health.

Bharati has struggled to feed and educate her children. The situation was aggravated by the persistent skin problem, restricting her ability to work under the sun. The devastating earthquake in Nepal last April compounded her grief. Her house collapsed before her eyes.
