Get Your Company Involved
There are many ways to get your company involved and make a real difference to the lives of people living in the world’s most vulnerable communities. Some of the most popular methods of giving are listed below. If you have an idea that’s not listed please contact Eamon Sharkey email@example.com and we would be delighted to work with you and your team.
Charity of the year partnerships
Many companies like to choose a different charity to support each year. The charity in question benefits from the companies various fundraising efforts throughout the year. Our experienced team will work with you to create a package – tailored to your specific needs. We would be delighted to come into your company and explain what it is we do and how your fundraising will help us continue our life changing work.
Emergency Response Partnerships
GOAL has responded to almost every major natural and man-made disaster and catastrophe in the past 40 years. In these times of crisis, we need partners who can provide us with support and funds to ensure we can respond as quickly as possible. Support often comes in different ways: flights, supplies, your time, IT support etc. as well as monetary donations. The list is endless. Further, knowing we can call on you in a time of crisis, allows us to effectively plan our response. Over the past forty years, GOAL has been one of the first responders in an emergency. If your company would like to help and become an emergency response partner, please get in touch.
Sponsorship & Donations
There are many ways we can partner to help us both achieve our goals. We understand that supporting GOAL is a reflection of your values and commitment to corporate social responsibility. Our team will work with you to create a program that supports your mission, engages your workforce, and maximizes impact.
Depending on your company’s objectives, we can identify possible project sponsorship opportunities, connecting your company and people with our work in the world’s most vulnerable communities. We are both proud and honoured to have a number of partnerships with leading companies who support GOAL’s mission and vision.
Companies we partner with include Dropbox, Bank of Ireland and Electric Aid and many more <
GOAL runs a series of corporate events and challenges throughout the year, which provide companies with opportunities to get involved. When you sign up, we will give you event specific fundraising packs and the necessary support from our dedicated fundraising team. Our calendar of fundraising events includes, Duvet Day, Jersey Day, the GOAL Mile and the GOAL Ball among others.
Matched & Tax Effective Giving
Some companies are willing to match what a member of staff has raise through sponsorship. If your company operates a matching gift scheme we can provide you with any necessary information or fill in any forms required. Please do check with your company to see if they will match your funds. Make your gift to GOAL go further. A company can claim tax back from donations above €250 e.g. ABC Ltd makes a company donation of €250 to GOAL and receives a receipt. ABC Ltd can then claim a deduction for the donation as if it were a trading expense. ABC Ltd pays corporation tax at 20% so their corporation tax bill is reduced by €250×20%=€50]
Payroll Giving programmes are also a great way to expand a firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme and to involve employees in ‘making a difference in society’. By donating a fixed amount from your monthly salary - in addition to donations from your colleagues using this scheme - you can make a big difference to the communities where we work. This also gives GOAL the ability for longer term planning in its overseas programs, by knowing how much money will come in every month. If companies contribute alongside their staff, the company contribution is tax deductible for the company.
