GOAL is excited to welcome Premier Sports, one of Ireland’s leading sports broadcasters, as title partner for Jersey Day 2025, which will take place on Friday October 10, 2025

Each year, Jersey Day sees thousands of people come together at schools and workplaces to swap their usual uniforms and office attire for their favourite sports jersey. The purpose of Jersey Day is to play a vital role in raising funds to help GOAL deliver lifesaving humanitarian aid and development work in crisis-hit regions across the globe: Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

In welcoming Premier Sports as title sponsor of GOAL’s Jersey Day, Siobhán Walsh, GOAL CEO, said:

“We are thrilled that Premier Sports are the new title sponsor of GOAL’s Jersey Day 2025. With its impressive roster of on-screen talent, proven track record of delivering high-quality sports programming to Irish audiences, and GOAL’s long association with the world of sport, Premier Sports is the perfect partner for Jersey Day. The support of Mickey and his incredible team will help profile and promote this important event, encouraging people to join in this important initiative which is all about saving lives and this is now a more important mission than ever in our world.”

“Conflict and displacement of populations are growing in nature and complexity. Despite these challenges, it’s important to continue to take action and help change our world. Everyone can do something and we are so grateful that people care. GOAL reached 11.8 million people last year across 14 countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. Every euro raised matters,” continued Siobhán Walsh.

In announcing the GOAL Jersey Day title sponsorship, Mickey O’Rourke, Premier Sports CEO, said:

“At Premier Sports, we are proud to deliver live sporting drama including UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Premier League soccer, Investec Champions Cup and URC rugby, and international tennis and hockey events, to homes across Ireland.”

“Premier Sports recognises the power of the sports jersey which has such a unique role in Irish culture, and we recognise the jersey as a tool for unity and driving communities towards achieving common goals. So, we look forward to highlighting and supporting Jersey Day in every way we can.” continued Mickey O’Rourke.

In 2024, GOAL Jersey Day raised over €240,000 and with the help of Premier Sports, GOAL aims to surpass that figure in 2025. All funds raised will be channelled into GOAL’s humanitarian aid and development work for the most vulnerable communities in our countries of operation across the world.
