Job Purpose
We’re recruiting for a Global Operations Manager to join our programmes team.  As a senior leader you’ll contribute to the leadership, direction and processes of GOAL’S Programme teams and initiatives globally. Reporting to the Director of Programme Operations you’ll drive drive effective operational, strategic and risk management plans across GOAL’s programme teams as key bridge between the Director of Programme Operations and the various programmes teams (both in HQ and Countries of Operation). You’ll liaise with Regional and Country Directors in the implementation of programmes and the identification and resolutions of any challenges/issues they face.

Key areas of Responsibility:

  • Operational Management:
    Working closely with RDs and departmental heads to maintain an excellent understanding of field activities & issues, keeping the DIP and other HQ stakeholders informed of progress and flagging potential issues.
  • Administration, information, & risk management:
    Ensure effective administrative support to GOAL’s Programmes departments contributing to the implementation of GOAL’s global programme portfolio and the management of field risk.
  • Strategic management:
    Facilitate and contribute with the development of global and country level strategy.
  • Representation:
    Representation of the Programmes team both internally and externally with (Institutional Donor and partners)
  • Reporting:
    Undertake executive tasks such as preparation of quarterly and annual board reporting packs and create board advisory committee dashboards

The Person
A senior leader with proven sector experience, demonstrated knowledge and understanding of field programmes is key.
Previous Experience in a similar senior operations role ideally in a global NGO
Committed to performance measurement and continuous improvement.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills with a proven ability to derive useful data insights.
Stakeholder management – ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders.
Good communicator with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to speak and write French, Spanish or Arabic is desirable.

**GOAL offers staff flexible working with our hybrid model, we require our HQ employees to work 2 days per week from our office in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin**
