Job Purpose

A dynamic, hands‑on role within GOAL’s Fundraising team, reporting to the Community Fundraising & Events Manager. This position offers broad experience across marketing, supporter stewardship, event delivery, operations, and campaign production - ideal for someone eager to develop a strong, practical fundraising skill set.

The Executive will support the delivery and growth of GOAL’s major fundraising campaigns: including the GOAL Mile, GOAL Ball, GOAL Golf Classic, Shamrocks4GOAL, and GOAL Jersey Day; while contributing to wider community and corporate income generation.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter Stewardship & Relationship Management

  • Deliver high‑quality stewardship for community supporters, including prompt thank‑you letters, acknowledgements/invoices, and impact updates.
  • Build strong relationships with volunteers through proactive communication and in‑person engagement.
  • Deliver presentations to schools and community groups.
  • Maintain accurate supporter and financial data in Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Securely count, log, and transfer in‑person cash donations to Finance.
  • Manage fundraising/event inbox’s and respond efficiently.

Event & Campaign Delivery

  • Provide full logistical, administrative, communications and on‑site support across GOAL’s flagship fundraising events.
  • Uphold strong brand standards across all campaigns.
  • Assist with digital/social marketing activity.
  • Work with external suppliers (designers, editors, developers, donation platforms, couriers) to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Manage essential operational tasks, including:
    • Sorting/receiving event stock for the storeroom
    • Preparing Jersey Day postal packs (schools & corporates)
    • Managing GOAL Mile beanies & T‑shirts
    • Returning/tidying post‑campaign stock
    • Preparing/franking letters and parcels (incl. TY letters)
    • Posting large/overseas packages
    • Organising courier shipments
    • Coordinating Hackett’s collections
    • Managing storeroom key access and staff merchandise requests
    • Storing/tracking GOAL Ball raffle prizes/vouchers

Research, Insight & New Business Support

  • Conduct market and competitor research to guide fundraising strategy.
  • Identify new fundraising ideas and trends to increase unrestricted income.
  • Support development of new community engagement initiatives.

 

Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience supporting fundraising events or public‑facing campaigns.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills; detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable managing essential administrative and operational tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel across Ireland/Northern Ireland.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends during peak periods.

Desirable

  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car.

*GOAL offers staff flexible working with our hybrid model, we require our HQ employees to work 2 days per week from our office in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin**
