When an outbreak of Ebola was declared in May 2014, we immediately initiated an emergency response programme. This included establishing isolation units and initiating survivor care, staff training, and public education programmes. In December, we opened an Ebola Treatment Centre in Port Loko, with capacity to care for 100 patients.
