Barry Andrews Debates UK’s response to the Refugee Crisis

The Motion: This House Would Condemn Britain’s Response to the Refugee Crisis

"This is the strangers case, and this your mountainish inhumanity"

GOAL CEO Barry Andrews was invited by Oxford Union to debate the issue of the Britain's response to the refugee crisis on May 12th. Alongside the CEO of Refugee Action, Stephen Hale, he formed half of the proposition to the motion, 'This House Would Condemn Britain’s Response to the Refugee Crisis'.

The opposition was formed by the Conservative MP's, Dr Andrew Murrison and Dr Therese Coffey. The motion was passed on the night, with the proposition arguing convincingly for increased responsibility and moral duty on the part of Britain, it's people and it's politicians.
