GOAL's Jersey Day, 11th October 2019 (LG)

What jersey will you be wearing?

What is GOAL Jersey Day?

GOAL Jersey Day is one of our favourite days of the year here at GOAL. It's the perfect opportunity to proudly wear your team colours, and an excuse to share your sporting opinions with anyone in the office, or school, who will listen to you. GOAL Jersey Day is our flagship fundraising campaign, when staff and students in businesses and schools nationwide don their county or club GAA colours, soccer or rugby jerseys, in an effort to raise much needed funds for GOAL. This year GOAL Jersey Day is scheduled to take place on .

GOAL Jersey Day has been held for a number of years, and is a firm favourite with companies and schools across the country. Similar to all GOAL campaigns that target companies and schools, the mechanics are easy, to ensure simplicity for organisations to get their staff and students involved. It's an ideal occasion to boost team or school spirit by working together on an exciting fundraising campaign.

Last year, GOAL Jersey Day raised €150,000 with the help of companies and schools. This year, we hope to reach €250,000. We hope you will join us and wear your team colours to support GOAL Jersey Day.

Here at SNC-Lavalin, we really enjoy taking part in the GOAL Jersey Day each year. It brings out the rivalry in colleagues as most people wear their county jerseys. It's a great fun way for us to raise money for those who need it most with minimal effort.

GOAL Jersey Day is one of the highlights in our school calendar. We love the excitement that comes with wearing the colours of our favourite team. Along with this, it is fantastic for the children to gain an awareness of the work of GOAL and to see where all their €2 are going. Just brilliant!

Zurich Life enjoy participating in GOAL Jersey Day, it is always a fun day in the office as everyone is wearing their county colours or the jersey of their favourite team from all types of sports! People really enjoy taking part and the different shirts and jerseys are great conversation starters in the canteen, all while helping to raise money for charity.

For us at St Louis Grammar, Kilkeel, Jersey Day offers a quick, easy and enjoyable way to raise funds for this worthy charity and to inform students about the plight of others in a more global context. GOAL have also been very good about coming in to our school to provide more background information to students about how the monies will be put to use.

Jersey Day at Cisco Galway has brought a great sense of fun, pride and most of all such a great feel good factor to all of our staff knowing they are helping out such a very worthy charity like GOAL. Its an event we look forward to every October.
